Win 12 months’ free pet insurance - prize draw terms and conditions

When you purchase a new Southern Cross Pet Insurance (SCPI) PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period you will automatically go into the draw to win 12 months’ of the premium for that policy free (“Prize Draw”) on the following terms and conditions:

1. The promotional period is 1 February to 30 April 2024 (“Promotional Period”).
2. To be automatically entered into the Prize Draw you must apply and be accepted for a SCPI PetCare or AcciPet policy during the Promotional Period, with a policy start date prior to 5 May 2024. FreeCover and renewals of existing SCPI policies are not eligible for this Prize Draw.
3. There are five (5) prizes to be won, each prize comprises 12 months’ of the premium payable for the policy purchased free for one (1) pet (Prize).
4. Each Prize winner will need to pay their initial premium payments, but these amounts will be refunded after the Prizes are drawn.
5. At the end of the 12 month’ free period, if the policy is renewed the usual premium applicable to the policy will apply. The prize draw does not affect or alter any of the terms and conditions of the policy other than payment of the premium for the 12 months.
6. The Prize Draw will take place on 15 May 2024. Prize winners will be drawn at random from the eligible entries and the Prize winners will be notified by telephone. If a Prize winner is not reasonably able to be contacted within 10 days of the Prize Draw, another winner will be drawn for that Prize.
7. The administrator of the Prize Draw is SCPI.
8. SCPI’s decision is final.
9. To the extent permitted by law SCPI makes no warranty or guarantee in relation to the Prizes. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude any liability under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 or any other statutory rights that any Prize winner may have in relation to the Prizes.
10. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SCPI (and its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or injury arising in any way in connection with the Prize Draw or acceptance or use of any Prize.
11. The Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.
12. Staff, contractors or agents of SCPI and other Southern Cross branded businesses and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win the Prize Draw.
13. SCPI may use any personal information collected during the Prize Draw to administer the Prize Draw and for marketing SCPI’s products and services in the future.
14. Personal information collected in relation to the Prize Draw will be held by SCPI, Level 1, Te Kupenga, 155 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. Subjects of personal information have the right to access and request correction of any personal information held about them in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
